Microsoft CRM 3.0 Sales for Outlook client reports error about cookies when opening Outlook 2003
KBA-01023
Problem

You may receive the following errors when starting Outlook 2003 Sp2 if you have the Sales for Outlook client installed and you are using a proxy server for access to the CRM server.

'Your Web browser options are currently set to disable cookies.  Microsoft CRM requires cookies to use the Web client.  To enable cookies, see the online Help for your browser.'   ---   'An error occurred loading Microsoft CRM functionality.  Try restarting Microsoft Outlook.  Contact your system administrator if errors persist.'

Solution
Open Internet Explorer 6.  Go to Tools, Internet Options, and then Advanced Tab.  Scroll down to the HTTP 1.1 settings section and ensure that the 'Use HTTP 1.1' and 'Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections' checkboxes are checked.
Additional Comments
